After trying out several of the pre-AOS servers, I've found my home on UO Phoenix (uo-phoenix.com). They combine a no-Trammel, pre-AOS ruleset with many of the more modern QOL features. The stated mission of the staff is to present an Ultima Online experience the way it SHOULD have progressed.

What you WILL find here: an energetic and professional staff that listens to dev and feature requests, a gameplay experience that you'll remember from "back in the day", QOL features such as custom housing and a helpful playerbase.

Newer player on this shard, so far it's been very enjoyable. Plenty of land and opportunity, a chance to dig in and build up. There's no grind quite like the grind of a newer shard.
